Introduction to Forensics

This module takes students into the mysterious world of laser forensics. Through the application of cutting edge technology, SLC’s “Simulated Laser” provides an eye-safe alternative to high powered forensic lasers while vividly displaying the concepts of optical forensics. The addition of a fingerprint detection kit has enhanced this module beginning in 1999. The final activity allows the student to become a “future sleuth”, gathering evidence in his/her classroom “scene of the crime”. Evidence can now be gathered utilizing the exciting breakthroughs in technology demonstrated in this module. Module also includes Pretest, Final test and complete parts list.
