How often does a student in a class of 30 get to choose their own coursework? Students who participate in the Virtual Internship Program do that every day—by selecting which tools they need to design their own ideas and experiments. As a result, they tailor the curriculum to their own preferences, visions, and dreams, using project-based learning. Later, they get to share their ideas with other students in the online Ingenious Student Labs—and test their vision against other students nationwide in the sponsored Competitions. It’s a totally personalized curricula within a highly structured group environment.

We all learn concepts more quickly when we are having fun. The Virtual Internship Series makes learning fun for students by teaching them critical STEM skills through topics that excite their imaginations—such as robots, music videos, and cartoon animation. Each student completes mini-certifications in the different skills they need to perform a task, then tests out those skills on their very own creation. In fact, over 75% of students who participate in the Virtual Internship programs report that they share what they learn with family and friends. It’s the perfect combination of learning and fun.
